Meet the Team

Welcome to LEAAY. We are a group of highly accomplished college students that aims to uplift the community around them. All of us have received multiple scholarships, awards, and honors, making us well-equipped with the knowledge and experience to guide each of you to your goals. 

Jeffrey Gu

I am the Founder of LEAAY, and I am currently a student at William and Mary as a 1693 Scholar. Since coming to college, I have been heavily involved as a leader in multiple organizations, and I hope to share my knowledge with all of you.

  • 1693 Scholar: 1 of 8 students selected among 18,000 (<0.05%) applicants for the class of 2025. The highest merit-based full-ride scholarships awarded at William and Mary.

  • Stamps Scholar: 1 of 237 recipients from over 320,000 (<0.1%) worldwide college applicants from the class of 2025. A highly prestigious international scholarship for college students.

  • Monroe Scholar: Awarded to the top 10% of admitted students per class at William and Mary.

Uyen Tran

I am an instructor at LEAAY and am currently a student at the University of Virginia as an Echols Scholar. I have deep experience with teaching and leadership from my work in high school and college and would love to give back to my community.

Matthew Li

I am an instructor and co-founder of LEAAY, and am currently a student at Loudoun Academy of Science. I have had experience mentoring younger students in my community and seek to empower younger students around me.
